Basketball Recap: Parsons Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Parsons waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They had just enough and edged the Pittsburg Dragons out 55-53. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Dragons back in January, they had to take a 68-58 loss.

Parsons' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Pittsburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parsons will head out to challenge Field Kindley on Tuesday. Field Kindley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Pittsburg, they will face off against Chanute on Monday. Chanute will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Pittsburg surely won't give up without a fight.
