Windermere Prep's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Freedom Patriots by a score of 3-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Lakers as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Windermere Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-22.

Windermere Prep found their leader in sophomore Sophia Wadsworth, who had seven digs and six aces.

Windermere Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 24 aces. They are 2-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Despite the loss, Freedom still got an impressive performance from Stefanny Rodriguez, who had nine digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Isabella Vercosa, who had five digs and three aces.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-7. As for Freedom, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Windermere Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Academy of Central Florida National on the 2nd. As for Freedom, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Victory Charter School on the 4th.
