The East Lincoln Mustangs will take on the Hickory Red Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Lincoln is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

East Lincoln made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hickory, but they still couldn't quite topple them. East Lincoln never let Hickory get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their two-run performance the match before.

Matthew Phuntek was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ryker Wensil, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

East Lincoln was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

East Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Hickory, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-2.
