Volleyball Recap: Mountainside Gets the Win

Mountainside proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Crook County Cowboys 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mavericks have posted since October 12, 2024.

Mountainside's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Crook County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Mountainside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against South Salem on the 11th. As for Crook County, they will challenge Summit at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Storm will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cowboys surely won't give up without a fight.
