Basketball Game Preview: Central Cass Squirrels vs. Lisbon Broncos

The Central Cass Squirrels will venture away from home to challenge the Lisbon Broncos at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Central Cass is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Northern Cass 69-37. The matchup marked the Squirrels' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lisbon). They secured an 83-77 W over Oak Grove Lutheran on Monday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since January 20, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Lisbon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Central Cass, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

Central Cass came up short against Lisbon in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 57-51. Can Central Cass avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
