Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Coconino). Everything went their way against the Mohave Thunderbirds on Friday as they made off with  a  23-3 victory. With that  win, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.2  runs per game.
 Fitz Guinan made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Guinan was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances with one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Steven Stone was a standout: he scored four  runs while  getting on base  in five of his six plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  RBI (three). Another player making a difference was  Ty Sevier, who  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in five of his six plate appearances.
 Coconino  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Coconino's victory bumped their record up to 6-10-1. As for Mohave, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the  loss, which was their sixth straight  at home.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coconino will host Marcos de Niza  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Padres have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.81  runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mohave, they will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Bradshaw Mountain  at 12:00  p.m. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9  runs per game  this season, so the Thunderbirds' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
