Preview: Floresville vs. Tuloso-Midway
Floresville will square off against Tuloso-Midway at 7:30 PM on Friday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Floresville might have drawn first blood against Calhoun last Friday, but it was Calhoun who got the last laugh. Floresville took a serious blow against Calhoun, falling 29-77. On a positive note, senior Salih Williams put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 213 yards and 2 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Williams's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in Floresville's past seven games.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Tuloso-Midway, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They were dealt a punishing 18-61 defeat at the hands of Calallen. Tuloso-Midway were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 12-45.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
