Newton hadn't done well against Kapaun Mt. Carmel recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Railroaders narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Crusaders 3-2. That's two games straight that Newton have won by just one goal.

Newton's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Kapaun Mt. Carmel, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
