Baseball Recap: Summit Country Day Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Summit Country Day, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Silver Knights: when they faced off against the Nighthawks on Tuesday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Jack Phillabaum made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grayson Houchin, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. Cole Reinhard was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Summit Country Day lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
