Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is St. George's Third in Last Four Outings

After losing to White Station the last time they met, St. George decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gryphons came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 71-60 on Tuesday.

St. George's found their leader in sophomore Carson Crump, who went 8-for-14 en route to 25 points along with six assists and six boards. Jesse Brown was another key player, shooting 63% from the field to rack up 12 points.

St. George's was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

St. George's is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for White Station, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. George's will venture away from home to take on First Assembly Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gryphons will need to watch out since the Crusaders have now posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for White Station, they will head out to face off against Arlington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
