Football Recap: Prairie Wins Going Away Against Caliche

The third road contest was the charm for Prairie, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They strolled past the Caliche Buffaloes with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 40-22. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 43-22 win the Buffaloes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Liam Bringelson threw for 54 yards and one TD. On the ground, Brennan Bringelson rushed for 177 yards and three scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.

The victory got Prairie back to even at 3-3. As for Caliche, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Coming up, Prairie will challenge Weldon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caliche, they will take on Flagler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buffaloes' defense better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 36.8 points per game this season.
