Baseball Recap: Tri-Valley Comes Up Short

Tri-Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs, falling 12-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Tri-Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 18-12-1. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Tri-Valley is taking a road trip to square off against Fieldcrest at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Peoria Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
