Baseball Recap: Hollins Takes a Loss

Hollins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to the Countryside Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in February.

Teagan Davies was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Tyler Herbert, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Hollins' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Countryside, their record is now 9-5.

Looking ahead, Hollins will welcome Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Countryside, they are taking a road trip to face off against Anclote at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
