Basketball Recap: Olympus' Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Olympus extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Joss Baker. The Olympus Titans were the clear victor by an 85-59 margin over the Skyline Eagles on Thursday thanks to Baker, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 21 rebounds. She is becoming a predictor of Olympus' success: when she posts at least 25 points the team is 6-1 (and 6-7 when she doesn't).

Tessa Cromar was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in assists.

When it comes to explaining why Skyline lost, don't look at Leelu Bare. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Norah Pearce, who made all 6 shots she took racking up 13 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Olympus pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 37.1% in those games and 25.1% outside of them. As for Skyline, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.
