Football Recap: Nash Central Falls to Southwest Edgecombe in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Nash Central had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 13-5 to the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars on Friday. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Winston Lee threw for 70 yards on six of 12 attempts.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nash Central will venture away from home to square off against Northern Nash at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Hertford County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
