Basketball Recap: New Haven Takes a Loss

New Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 59-27 loss at the hands of the Vienna Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Shamrocks of the 68-26 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Vienna got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jude Stricklan out in front who went 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points and six steals. With that strong performance, Stricklan is now averaging an impressive 2.7 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Alex Zimmer, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.

New Haven's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Vienna, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

New Haven will face off against Missouri Military Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Vienna, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-41 victory against Jamestown on the 15th.
