Softball Recap: Lemoore Comes Up Short

If Lemoore was riding high fresh off their 14-1 takedown of Mt. Whitney on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Golden West Trailblazers by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Trailblazers: they've now lost five in a row.

Lemoore saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giselle Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Maddie Bivens also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Lemoore's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Golden West, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6-1 record this season.

Lemoore didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-3 draw against Orcutt Academy on the 15th. As for Golden West, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Corcoran on the 15th.
