On Friday, Apple Valley faced Shakopee in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Apple Valley Eagles fell 98-91 to the Shakopee Sabers. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

This is the second loss in a row for Apple Valley and nudges their season record down to 21-6. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.5 points over those games. As for Shakopee, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Apple Valley nor Shakopee have any future games scheduled.
