Volleyball Recap: Monroe Catholic Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Monroe Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the Nikiski Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 1-0 loss back in October.

Monroe Catholic has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-10-2 record this season. As for Nikiski, their victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 41-12-6.

As of now, neither Monroe Catholic nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
