Volleyball Recap: Hilmar Comes Up Short

Hilmar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Ripon Christian Knights. The Yellowjackets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-14.

Ripon Christian found their leader in sophomore Ian Brown, who had nine digs and three aces.

Hilmar's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Ripon Christian, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Hilmar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Escalon on the 19th. As for Ripon Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Manteca on the 19th.
