Baseball Recap: Otsego Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lee

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Otsego). They never let the Lee Legends get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Matthew Jackson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Peyton Koenig was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Karl Hildebrand was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Otsego always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Otsego's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Lee, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Otsego will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Legends: the pair will be back at it again later today.
