Lee Vining hasn't had much luck against Lone Pine recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Lee Vining barely beat Baker the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Braves 3-0 on Friday. The Tigers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 9, 2024 (when they won 3-0).
Lee Vining not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Baker between 16 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-19.

Lee Vining's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ember Elits, who had 17 assists and six aces. Elits has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Gain, who had 13 assists and four aces.
Meanwhile, Lone Pine had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Tornadoes as they made off with a 3-0 win.
The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 25-22.
Lee Vining better keep an eye on Yesenia Alegre. She was instrumental in Lone Pine's win, getting 12 kills, five aces, four digs, and one block. That's the most aces Alegre has posted since back in September. Violet Soto was another key player, getting four digs and two aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Lone Pine was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matchups.
Lee Vining's record is now 4-9. As for Lone Pine, their record now sits at 10-11-2.
Lee Vining suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Lone Pine when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
