Baseball Recap: Lucas Takes a Loss

Lucas suffered their biggest defeat since March 29th on Saturday. They lost 11-1 to the McKinley Bulldogs. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lucas saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Whitesel, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Another was Bobby Grover, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Lucas' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for McKinley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Coming up, Lucas will welcome Central Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McKinley, they will host Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Royals will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
