Recap: King George Foxes vs. Culpeper County Blue Devils
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chancellor, the King George Foxes were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They snuck past Culpeper County with a 64-59 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Colson Clary continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 0 assists. Eli Trulow was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
King George's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Culpeper County, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King George will face off against James Monroe at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in James Monroe's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Culpeper County, they will head out on the road to challenge Chancellor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Chancellor focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Tuesday.
