Basketball Recap: Churchill County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sage Ridge last Tuesday, Churchill County came back down to earth. The Churchill County Greenwave fell to the Elko Indians 52-48. The Greenwave were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 58-54.

Churchill County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season. As for Elko, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Elko beat Churchill County by a score of 52-48 on Friday.
