Recap: Fort Bragg Timberwolves vs. Point Arena Pirates
This season hasn't been kind to the Fort Bragg Timberwolves, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They fell 69-57 to Point Arena on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cooper Killion, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds. Killion scored a full 26.3% of Fort Bragg's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Andre Chavez-Meza was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 8 rebounds.
Fernando Lopez was a one-man wrecking crew for Point Arena as he scored 32 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Derek Billy, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
Fort Bragg bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Point Arena, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Bragg has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Elsie Allen at 3:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Point Arena will take on Laytonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
