Volleyball Recap: Hico's Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games

It was a good run, but Hico unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Burnet Bulldogs. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in August of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hico started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-7.

Hico's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Burnet, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Hico will square off against Bangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burnet, they will face off against Gateway College Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
