Soccer Game Preview: Robert F. Kennedy Community vs. Contreras

The Robert F. Kennedy Community Bobcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Contreras Cobras at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Wednesday, Robert F. Kennedy Community came up short against Belmont and fell 3-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bobcats came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Sentinels are ranked 523rd).

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Contreras' offense. They came up short against Hollywood on Wednesday, falling 8-0.

Contreras has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-2 record this season. As for Robert F. Kennedy Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2-2.

Robert F. Kennedy Community took their win against Contreras in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Robert F. Kennedy Community since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
