Baseball Recap: Charlottesville's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Charlottesville was the 9-3 winner over Goochland when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Black Knights took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Thursday. The loss was the Black Knights' first of the season.

Andrew Cullinan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Jayden Butler also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Charlottesville fell to 4-1. As for Goochland, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Charlottesville will be playing in front of their home fans against Staunton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Goochland, they will head out on the road to take on Albemarle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
