Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin was the 9-8 winner over West Washington when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Senators on Tuesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for West Washington, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Coming up, Austin will square off against Brownstown Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for West Washington, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Springs Valley at 5:00 p.m.
