Basketball Recap: Amanda Elzy Falls Despite Big Games from Demarcus Brown and Derek Parker + How To Watch

Amanda Elzy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 56-43 to the Gentry Rams. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Derek Parker and Demarcus Brown certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Parker went 8-for-15 to rack up 19 points and five boards, while Brown shot 50% from the field en route to 17 points and eight rebounds. Parker is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Collins, who posted four points and six boards.

Amanda Elzy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Gentry, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Amanda Elzy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-42 loss against Palmer on the 5th. As for Gentry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-65 defeat against O'Bannon on the 5th.
