Softball Recap: South Windsor Takes a Loss

South Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 14-11 to the Manchester Red Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the first time they've come up short against the Red Hawks this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-11 defeat on Monday.

Sienna Michaelson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gemma Duhamel, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

South Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Manchester, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Red Hawks beat South Windsor by a score of 13-11 later that day.
