Volleyball Game Preview: South Kitsap Wolves vs. Spanaway Lake Sentinels

The South Kitsap Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Spanaway Lake Sentinels at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. South Kitsap will be strutting in after a win while Spanaway Lake will be coming in after a loss.

South Kitsap played in-conference for the first time on Tuesday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top against Bethel by a score of 3-1. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 21-25, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Carly Lyons, who had 15 assists and seven digs. Those 15 assists gave her a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Spanaway Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Emerald Ridge, falling 3-0.

South Kitsap's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Spanaway Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

South Kitsap skirted past Spanaway Lake 3-2 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
