Lubbock Christian came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Trinity Christian a 10-0 shutout. Considering Lubbock Christian has won 13 games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lubbock Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Trinity Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
