Baseball Game Preview: Nelson vs. Sandy Pioneers

For the second straight game, Nelson will face off against Sandy. Nelson will take on Sandy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Nelson has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while Sandy will come in with four straight victories.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Nelson's offense. They fell 4-0 to Sandy on Thursday.

For Sandy's part, Cooper Hibbs was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Hibbs is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Nate Reel also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Sandy pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Nelson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
