Baseball Game Preview: Stafford Indians vs. Mountain View Wildcats

Stafford is 2-8 against Mountain View since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Indians will look to defend their home field against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.

Stafford is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Massaponax get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Mountain View entered their tilt with North Stafford on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wolverines 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wildcats have posted against the Wolverines since April 5, 2023.

Mountain View pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Stafford, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
