After a string of six wins, Pikes Peak Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wray. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pikes Peak Christian of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Pikes Peak Christian was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Pikes Peak Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Eden Lopez had 15 digs. Those 15 digs set a new season-high mark for Lopez. Teagan Villa also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Wray was led to victory by Jaycie Snapp and Gracee Linman. Snapp had ten digs and two assists, while Linman had five digs and four assists. That's the most digs Linman has posted over her last six matchups.

Pikes Peak Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Wray, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-5.

Pikes Peak Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Denver Waldorf on the 13th. As for Wray, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Calhan on the 13th.
