Softball Preview: North Johnston Panthers vs. Cape Fear Colts
The North Johnston Panthers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Cape Fear Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
North Johnston is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They came up short against South Johnston on Tuesday, falling 18-3. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Cape Fear put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Lumberton with a sharp 18-1 win. Fans of the Colts have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Karalina Tomasic was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.
