The Duarte Falcons will head out to take on the Arbor View Aggies at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Duarte's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five matches.
Duarte's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Garey 20-0. Considering the Falcons have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Alyssa Garcia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two).
In other batting news, Valeria Nunez was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Valeria Hinajosa was another key player, scoring two runs while going 4-for-5.
Duarte was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .588. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Arbor View faced Green Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Aggies won by a run and slipped past the Gators 5-4. The victory continues a trend for the Aggies in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won three in a row.
Chloe Baird and Lilly Easton did most of the damage at the plate: Baird scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Easton scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Khloe Beno also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Duarte has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Arbor View, their record is now 10-7.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Duarte hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .422. However, it's not like Arbor View struggles in that department as they've averaged .349. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
