Softball Game Preview: Todd County Central Rebels vs. Bowling Green Purples

The Todd County Central Rebels are taking a road trip to square off against the Bowling Green Purples at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Todd County Central has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Todd County Central after they put the first run on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Caldwell County, falling 15-2. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dakotah Gammon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Bowling Green never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Warren Central on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Dragons an 18-0 shutout. The Purples haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Bowling Green now has a winning record of 13-12-1. As for Todd County Central, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Todd County Central might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Bowling Green in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
