Basketball Recap: Hanahan Takes a Loss

Hanahan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a blow against the Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks, falling 52-23. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Despite the defeat, Hanahan saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tripp Gallus posted two points and three blocks. Evan Behan also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Hanahan's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

Looking ahead, Hanahan will take on Fox Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oceanside Collegiate Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
