Baseball Recap: Neumann Regional Academy Has No Trouble Against Muncy

Neumann Regional Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Muncy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Neumann Regional Academy put the hurt on Muncy with a sharp 10-1 victory on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Golden Knights have posted against the Indians since May 4, 2021.

Angelo Birch made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

In other batting news, Gino Birch and Andrew Walter did most of the damage at the plate: Gino scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Walter scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kane Meixel, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Neumann Regional Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Muncy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
