Dixie took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Pendleton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets skirted past the Bulldogs 8-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Dixie has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record.

Coincidentally, Dixie and Pendleton will both be playing Easley the next time they take the field. The Hornets will head out to face the Green Wave at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
