Warren hadn't done well against Brennan recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Warriors won by a run and slipped past the Bears 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since March 28th.

Alex Garza spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Adrian Lopez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Daniel Escarcega, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Warren has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Brennan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.
