Softball Game Preview: Hampton Bays Baymen vs. Shoreham-Wading River Wildcats

The Hampton Bays Baymen will venture away from home to take on the Shoreham-Wading River Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Hampton Bays and 11 for Shoreham-Wading River dating back to last season.

Hampton Bays lost 9-2 to Miller Place on Thursday.

Hampton Bays saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kira Clinton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Shoreham-Wading River came up short against Kings Park on Friday, falling 8-1.

Shoreham-Wading River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Hampton Bays, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Hampton Bays beat Shoreham-Wading River 10-7 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Baymen since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
