Preview: Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders vs. High Point Eagles
Eleanor Roosevelt is 10-0 against High Point since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the High Point Eagles at 7:15 p.m. Eleanor Roosevelt knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully High Point likes a good challenge.
Eleanor Roosevelt scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 90-40 victory over Northwestern at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 60-12.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to High Point, who are still winless after their 11th contest. They were dealt a 99-53 loss at the hands of Wise on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, High Point can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Wise is ranked 44th).
Eleanor Roosevelt's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10-1. As for High Point, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Eleanor Roosevelt against High Point in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 91-15 win. Does Eleanor Roosevelt have another victory up their sleeve, or will High Point turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
