Volleyball Recap: Brooklyn O'dea's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lancaster Christian Academy over Highland Rim Academy

If Lancaster Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Pleasant View Christian on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highland Rim Academy on Friday. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Highland Rim Academy earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Lancaster Christian Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 17-25, 25-19.

Lancaster Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brooklyn O'Dea, who had ten kills, nine digs, and four aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Geerts, who had 11 digs, seven kills, and three aces.

Lancaster Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Highland Rim Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

As of now, neither Lancaster Christian Academy nor Highland Rim Academy have any future games scheduled.
