Basketball Recap: South River Comes Up Short

South River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Highland Park Owls, falling 59-13. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Owls apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

South River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Highland Park, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

South River will head out to face off against Carteret at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Highland Park, they are taking a road trip to challenge Timothy Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Highland Park is facing Timothy Christian at the right time seeing as Timothy Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
