Basketball Recap: Melrose Golden Wildcats vs. Middle College Bulldogs
Melrose was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Middle College Bulldogs. The Golden Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Melrose's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Middle College, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Melrose won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Middle College, they will be playing at home against Pleasant View at 7:30 a.m. on Monday.
