Baseball Game Recap: Toledo Christian Eagles vs. Northwood Rangers

Toledo Christian's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Northwood Rangers a 10-0 shutout. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Josiah Rohman was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Toledo Christian is 2-1 when Rohman allows one or fewer hits, but 0-4 otherwise. Rohman was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Tyler Grace was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Gage Hess was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Toledo Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Toledo Christian picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Northwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Toledo Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rangers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
